The standard we build to

The website is designed and tested to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

Features

  • One main heading per page and a logical heading order, so pages can be skimmed with a screen reader
  • A “skip to main content” link and labelled navigation areas
  • A clearly visible focus outline for keyboard users
  • Colour contrast that meets WCAG requirements; the brand’s bright aqua is used for lines and accents, not for text on white
  • Large tap targets for links and buttons
  • Questions and answers in expandable sections that work with a keyboard and screen reader
  • Forms with visible labels, hints, an error summary and messages linked to each field
  • Wide tables that can be scrolled with the keyboard
  • Text, not images, for all content, and plain English throughout
  • Respect for the reduced-motion setting on your device

Every page is checked with automated accessibility testing at desktop and mobile widths. A manual keyboard and screen-reader check will be completed before the website is published.
